If you're not already familiar, Populuxe was a consumer culture and aesthetic in the United States, popular in the 1950s and 1960s - the term being a portmanteauof popular and luxury. The work of various artists, graphic, furniture, interior designers and architects is associated with the Populuxe movement and overlaps with the effortlessly cool mid-century aesthetic.

So it felt right to call Blackpop's new AW23 collection ‘Populuxe’. Consisting of five pared back colour designs that combine sleek lines and organic shapes, with an added hint of Art Deco to reference the part it played on influencing the mid-century vibe.
